Cinnamon Spice Nuts

Ingredients

1cup  sugar
1/2cup  water
1tsp.  ground cinnamon
1/4tsp.  ground nutmeg
3cups  walnut halves, pecan halves, or almonds
1tsp.  pure vanilla extract

Directions

Line baking sheet with foil. Butter foil; set aside. Butter sides of heavy 2-quart saucepan. In saucepan combine sugar, water, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until boiling. Clip candy thermometer to pan. Cook and stir over medium-high heat about 7 minutes or until thermometer registers 240°F
Remove saucepan from heat. Remove thermometer. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Pour onto prepared pan. Cool. Break into pieces
