Allen's Loaded Potato Soup

Allen's Loaded Potato Soup

Ingredients

4cups  cubed potatoes (1-3/4 to 2 lb.)
2cups  chopped onion
1cup  each thinly sliced carrots and sliced celery
3(10-1/2 oz.)  cans condensed chicken broth
3cups  water
3/4tsp.  ground white pepper
1/2cup  flour
1/2cup  butter, melted
1cup  whipping cream
1/2cup  shredded pasteurized cheese product
4slices fully cooked bacon, crumbled
Thinly sliced green onions

Directions

In 4-quart large, heavy pot combine potatoes, onion, carrots, celery, broth, water and pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Stir together flour and melted butter; stir into vegetable mixture. Cook and stir until slightly thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 1 minute more.
Stir in whipping cream; heat through. Ladle into bowls. Sprinkle with cheese, bacon and green onions.
