Mediterranean Chicken Starters

Mediterranean Chicken Starters

Ingredients

Dip:
1cup  plain yogurt or sour cream
1 1/2tsp.  grated lemon peel
1/2tsp.  garlic pepper
1/2tsp.  sugar
1/8tsp.  salt
1small garlic clove, minced
Chicken Bundles:
1cup  chopped rotisserie or deli sliced chicken
1/2cup  frozen spinach, thawed and pressed to remove liquid
1/2cup  crumbled tomato-basil feta cheese
2tbsp.  mayonnaise or salad dressing
1tbsp.  finely chopped onion
1/2tsp.  oregano leaves
28 oz.  cans flaky butter crescent-style rolls

Directions

Blend all dip ingredients in medium bowl; cover and refrigerate.
Preheat oven to 375°F. Blend chicken, spinach, feta cheese, mayonnaise, onion and oregano in medium bowl. Unroll dough; separate into 4 rectangles. Press each into 4x5-inch rectangle, firmly pressing perforations to seal. With sharp knife, cut each rectangle into 4 squares. Spoon 2 scant teaspoons of chicken mixture onto center of each square.
Pinch ends well to seal and enclose mixture, leaving 1/2 to 3/4 inch opening at top of each bundle. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot with dip.
