All Things Baby

It works well for weddings — why not for births? Baby registries help you collect all the essentials and more. After a few simple clicks, you can sit back and watch the gifts arrive!

Why Create a Baby Registry?

A baby gift registry helps your friends and family purchase the most useful and necessary gifts for you and your new baby. Preselecting a wish list of items helps to ensure you get most, if not all, of the baby essentials. It also prevents you from receiving duplicate items or all similar-sized clothing items.

Register for virtually any baby-related item, including:

  • Travel gear (car seats, strollers, baby carriers, diaper bags)
  • Diapering essentials (diapers, wipes, creams, disposal systems)
  • Bathing items (bathtub, washcloths, towels, baby wash)
  • Toys (stuffed animals, crib toys, books, mirrors)
  • Baby furniture (crib, changing table, glider, bookcase, dresser)
  • Baby activities (swings, bouncy seats, activity centers)
  • Baby apparel (sleeper pajamas, onesies, jumpers, car-seat blankets)
  • Feeding essentials (bottles, breast pump, bottle warmer, burp cloths, nursing pillows, nursing cover-ups)

How to Put Together a Baby Registry

Creating and adding items to a baby-shower registry is a fun, exciting prebaby activity. Take your time and make careful selections. Try to include items in all price ranges to accommodate those shopping on a limited budget. Keep in mind that not everything has to go on the registry — if you’d be embarrassed to open a gift in a coworker-filled room, leave it off the wish list and just purchase it yourself.

Baby showers are usually held in the third trimester — during the last few weeks before the baby’s expected arrival. Just found out you’re pregnant? There's no urgent need to start a baby registry just yet, but it’s a good idea to start noting items. It’ll help you remember the perfect stroller’s model number when registry time rolls around.
