Horizon Organic MilkHorizon Organic® Milk

At Horizon Organic®, we’re not just making delicious organic dairy, we’re planting the seeds for a healthier future. We figure it’s all connected. Producing milk organically supports healthy cows, healthy family farms, healthy communities and a healthier planet.

Our Commitment to the Planet
For land to be certified organic, farmers are not allowed to use harmful chemicals that can pollute the air, water and food. Instead, they use sustainable farming techniques and use non-toxic materials to control pests.
We work with an ever-growing family of organic farms. Nearly 450 certified organic farmers supply milk for Horizon Organic, and we’re helping another 100 farmers transition to organic.
Through our combined efforts, we’ve helped convert 250,000 acres of farmland to organic, restoring a healthy balance to soil and water.

Making Sustainable Choices
As more and more people choose the wholesome nutrition of Horizon Organic, the future looks brighter every day — cleaner water and fertile soil not only for our children, but for future generations as well.  In fact, our farming efforts will keep more than 17 million pounds of chemicals (pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers) out of the environment this year.*
It’s amazing how simple steps can make a difference:
• A Wal-Mart shopper who buys one gallon of Horizon Organic milk every week for one year will help keep 10 pounds of chemicals out of the environment.
• If every Wal-Mart shopper bought one gallon of Horizon Organic milk, we could keep 38 million pounds of chemicals out of the environment yearly!
